I’m writing this bio in the first person because I believe any prospective client wants to know whom he may be hiring.
I’ve been a writer ever since I was a child, engaging all kinds of writing. Writing is what I do. It’s what I like.
It's what I'm good at.
For the past two decades, most of my writing has been for corporations and large
non-profit organizations. Over this time, I’ve written numerous articles for
corporate newsletters and magazines, plus produced a wide variety of other types
of communication products. I’ve also assisted corporate leaders with speeches
and communication plans.
Also, along the way, I occasionally became involved with sales and marketing communication. This is an area where I’ve recently increased my focus and have been honing my skills through the American Writers and Artists Institute, completing extensive training in direct sales, business-to-business, fundraising and web copywriting.
I find every project a fascinating challenge—understanding the client’s goal and the audience for the communication, then choosing the right concept, the best way to present it, and the most compelling words to achieve the desired result.
My goal as a freelancer is to deliver copy or counseling that is accurate, fresh and
compelling, and delivers the results the client wants. I provide high-quality drafts on time. I don’t get my ego wrapped up in what I produce, and I’m happy to make revisions the client wants.
As a professional, I take pride in not just satisfying the client, but delighting him or her.
